Maria Solheim 是被挪威著名钢琴家 Bengt Egil Hanssen 发现的
当时只有15岁的她正在一个乡村教堂里唱她自己的歌。2001年2月7日，她推出了首张专辑Barefoot，所有的歌曲均由她自己创作，在一年以后她的第二张专辑Behind closed doors发行。现在Maria已经是一个得到认可的艺术家了。她不仅涉及演唱事业，还组建乐队。她自己说，我的音乐想要表达的就是灵感、交流以及合作。
